Sumo Wrestler Fuddles

i’m a big sumo wrestler like they have on tv! i’m really slow, and i take big stomping steps and then i pounce on the other guy. i’m so big and heavy that i squash everybody in my way. and to get this big i eat lots of food. big food like steak and ribs with lots of beans and corn and potatoes.

that sounds like what i do already! who needs to wrestle- i wonder what’s for dinner tonight…

An Author’s Event

here is frans at an author’s event, all celebrating their recently published books. frans is way in the back, holding fuddles.

looks like lots of fun! but where’s the food? i’d rather have a fondue party, or a cheese-tasting party. now that’s a party i’d like to go to! now i’m getting hungry just thinking about it. tonight’s italian sausage with angel hair pasta and sun-dried tomatoes. now that sounds like a party!

Book-signings Everywhere!

frans is doing lots of book-signings! these pictures are from the west hollywood book fair, courtesy of melissa kurtz, a very nice lady. next week is a visit to northern california, and after thanksgiving there will be some school visits. so fuddles is getting around.

but i’m staying home. all that traveling is so exhausting. i took a trip a while ago with frans to once upon a time, a bookstore in montrose, and it plumb wore me out. i’m getting tired just thinking about it, so i’ll stop thinking about it now. i’m going to curl up on the couch and take a nice nap. maybe i’ll think about dinner… hmmm, shrimp scampi with linguini and minced garlic cloves and chopped parsley leaves.

Another Tangled Mess

sometimes i help mom around the house, keeping things neat and tidy. but i can’t stand cleaning up those colorful balls! mom keeps them next to her when she sits on the couch twiddling those pointy sticks. i don’t know what she’s doing, but she keeps showing me sweaters or a scarfs that somebody wrecked because they’re missing their other half.

every time i try to pick those balls up they roll away they unravel and make a great big mess! and when i try to ravel the ball back together i get all tangled up!

so after mom gets me untangled i better get an extra portion of pea soup tonight!

Northern California Book Store Visits

frans is visiting north california next week! a quick trip for book-readings and signings.

on sunday, november 13th at 11 in the morning, he’ll be at the wonderful keplers book store in menlo park.

on monday, november 14th, it’s beautiful linden tree in los altos at 10:30 am.

and thursday, november 17th, he’s off to the terrific hicklebee’s in san jose at 3 in the afternoon.

hope to see you all there. meanwhile, i’m having a little snack of pizza with smoked chicken and goats cheese and sundried tomatoes.

i’m a ballet dancer. light as an egg-white crepe, i flutter thru the air, landing delicately with barely a sound. just like that hippo with the tutu on tv being chased by an alligator, i prance around the living room past the coffee table and on the easy chair, pirouetting gracefully.

just imagining all that activity makes me hungry! and tonight it’s spinache and bacon quiche with shredded swiss cheese. oh boy! i’ll jump around a bit for that!
