everybody should shop at their local stores to support their community. frans will be at his local bookstore,
Once Upon A Time, in Montrose, Ca on saturday afternoon, november 29th, to sign fuddles books!
one of my favorite days of the year! mashed potatoes, yams, stuffing, thick gravy, corn
bread, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and a big fat turkey!
i might skip dinner tonight to build up my appetite… or maybe i’ll skip seconds. or, well,
oh, i’m so anxious for that turkey, it’s making me hungry! and i still have to wait 2 whole
frans did a fuddles reading and drawing demonstration at the casa verdugo library in glendale. the kids
did a fuddles treasure hunt too, and they asked frans a bunch of questions. librarian vivian dulay organised
the event. (she’s in the picture with frans, holding my fuddles book.)
and with frans and my christmas book is maureen, the owner of once upon a time bookstore in montrose,
(the oldest children’s bookstore in the country!)
i’m sad to report that there wasn’t much food on hand, so i’ll console myself with a big tuna casserole.
last week frans visited spencerport in upstate new york. he went to four elementary schools, munn,
bernabi, taylor and canal view. frans showed pictures and videos of me, and he made drawings of me
doing silly things which made the kids laugh. frans talked about writing and reading, and the kids asked
great questions and gave frans ideas for new fuddles books.
what i want to know is what was for lunch! frans got a nice meal each day- he even had lunch with some
special kids at taylor elementary school, where they talked about ideas and writing and drawing.
i would just talk about food.
frans went to the eye doctor and he drew some people in the waiting room. i don’t like
going to the doctor. they weigh me, and then they gasp and then they ask frans what
he’s been feeding me and then they tell him that i have to lose weight.
then i get all depressed because food is my favorite thing, so how can they take that
away from me? then i need some chocolate eclairs to put me in a better mood!
