Frank Thomas Elementary School visit!
this week frans visited frank thomas elementary school, named after the famous disney animator’s father, who was president of cal state fresno, where frans also spoke.
frank thomas the animator grew up in fresno, and visited the school several times to draw for the kids. so it was a nice connection for frans. he met frank thomas a few times, and even got to animate one of his favorite characters, captain hook, in a film called “Back To Neverland.”

Drawing a very fat cat
frans made lots of funny animal drawings at the Orange County Children’s Book Festival, including a very fat me! i look like i just ate 3 servings of lasagna. yummy!
